Catherine has been designing and making wedding gowns since graduating with an honours degree in textiles 22 years ago. Since then she has launched her own business in unique bridal and special occasion wear. For women who seek an individual style, Catherine creates exclusive gowns which to date have been variously described as 'classic' chic' and 'outrageous'. She firmly believes the bride’s personality should be reflected though the gown. Every bride has a complimentary consultation at Catherine's studio in order to establish what will suit her. Catherine then uses her skill and expertise to hand craft a distinguished gown that radiates richness and style. Great attention is paid to silhouette, choice of fabrics and workmanship. A toile (sample garment in unbleached cotton) is made to obtain a perfect fit. If required, adjustments in fit and design are made. Only then is the gown made up in the chosen silks. Catherine will begin to advise on veils, tiaras, shoes and other accessories as the gown progresses. She can supply these from an extensive and beautiful selection at her studio. Catherine also designs and makes corsets. These give the figure an amazing shape. They can either be made to wear under your wedding gown or as an outer garment to create a complete WOW! Catherine will happily advise and create outfits for bridesmaids, page boys, mothers of the bride and waistcoats for the grooms. Whether you choose strikingly theatrical, chic in the grand manner or classic and elegant Catherine can make your dream come true. Accessorizing your wedding gown with the right shoes, tiara and veil should be considered with care. These too are an expression of personality. Catherine is happy to advise you on these matters. You may also wish to consider the possibility of embellishing you gown with hand beading and/or embroidery. Catherine will put together a selection of samples to inspire you!!
